With more than 190 m² of booth space, KPMG participated for the fifth time in the Viva Technology show in Paris.
The theme of this 2022 edition was the metaverse and the future of virtual reality.
Our mission was to design an innovative and futuristic installation to showcase KPMG's expertise on the metaverse, give a modern image to the booth and attract visitors.
We placed participants at the heart of our "Beyond metaverse" concept.
The idea was to immerse them in a virtual universe representing the metaverse using the motion capture technology. Furthermore, it was to offer them a memorable souvenir of their visit to the booth.
To write the script, we relied on KPMG's white paper "The future of metaverse and Extended reality" which anticipates the impact of new technologies on the society of the future.
The script was built around four key themes: education, identity, exchange and the uncommon experience.
We created the soundtrack of the animation inspired by science fiction film references such as Blade Runner and 2001 Space Odyssey.
The Beyond metaverse interactive installation left a lasting impression on visitors throughout the show and highlighted KPMG's expertise in metaverse.
The large curved LED screen of 24 m², positioned between the Keynote and the start-up areas, acted as a real eye catcher.
Intrigued by the sight of the participants in action, passers-by stopped by the booth to film and take part in the animation. With their digital double, they recreated emblematic objects of the history of humanity and crisscrossed the city of the future, to return to earth after a virtual flight in space.
At the end of the digital experience, each participant retrieved the image of his virtual twin on his smartphone by scanning the QR code on the screen.
During the 4 days of the show, more than 400 visitors participated in the Beyond metaverse experience, the equivalent of four hours of interaction per day.
