Hello Women is an international program of the Orange Group to promote the position of women in technical and digital professions.
As part of this program, Orange organised the Hello Women fair in Paris in December 2021. The aim was to raise awareness among middle and high school girls about their interest in technical professions. Built in the shape of a village in the heart of Élysée Montmartre, the event was structured around four major axes: Information, Application, Retraining and Unfolding in the World of Technology.
Our task was to design an innovative event animation to put the women of the tech industry in the foreground and to dynamise the event.
We placed young women at the centre of our animation. The idea was to give them the opportunity to pay tribute to female pioneers in the tech industry through a playful, inspiring and engaging collaborative experience.
The goal was to involve them by creating a personalised avatar based on the concept of our interactive painting animation WE ARE COLORS™.
In addition, it was important to gain their engagement in a common cause by providing them with their own communication space through our online photo gallery.
This two-step animation concept engaged and mobilised the girls in a creative and interactive way throughout the exhibition.
The WE ARE COLORS™ application, customized according to the event's theme, was accessible in one click directly from their smartphones or tablets in free access. In just a few hours, several hundred of them created their avatars from the virtual portraits of 8 major female Tech icons.
Sharing their work in a dedicated virtual photo gallery and displaying it on a large screen during the exhibition brought them together during the event. The event raised the awareness of more than 800 young women about the challenges of gender equality in the tech industry.
